Our passive infrared technology (PIR) can detect when a person enters an open aisle within a range of 2-3 metres. This entry detection feature alerts the system if someone enters a closing aisle and then stops all movement to ensure the safety of users.
The SafetyMaster® captures an image of an open and unoccupied aisle. When someone attempts to close the aisle, it will compare the current situation with the stored image of the empty aisle. If it detects people or objects larger than 300cm2 in the aisle, it will stop the aisle from closing and initiate the visual safety procedure.
If the SafetyMaster® infrared system detects an obstruction, the system will display an error message reading “Obstruction movement.” To proceed, the user must press both buttons located on the left and right sides of the aisle, while looking into the open aisle. This visual safety feature ensures that the user visually confirms that the aisle is empty before continuing.
Our SafetyMaster® is fully compliant with GDPR, as it only stores an image of an empty aisle. All image processing occurs internally within the SafetyMaster®, where the image is stored, and there is no way of downloading or exporting it. The outgoing signal simply indicates whether an aisle is empty or not, so privacy and data security are guaranteed.
