Øregård Gymnasium was founded in 1903 under the name Plockross’ School. In 1919 the name was changed to Øregård Gymnasium. The school’s primary objective is to provide the pupils with the best possible start to their future – in terms of qualified education, network of friends and motivating surroundings. Library shelving with acoustic panels has been installed in the new school library of Øregård Gymnasium. This acoustic solution fulfilled the demand of creating an inspiring and pleasant environment while satisfying the need to keep noise levels to a minimum.
Solution The library consists of three levels. On the two upper levels Sysco® Library shelving has been installed. All shelving has been equipped with acoustic panels which have noise reducing abilities. Space optimisation was the main consideration in the basement, where book storage has been installed. With the mobile shelving system Compactus® Original XTR mobile shelving and library shelving hung on walls, every inch is exploited in this space.
